Overview

Cricket Bar, located conveniently on MN-70 in Pine City, Minnesota, is a classic small-town sports bar that offers a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and travelers. Known primarily for its selection of beer and its standout Bloody Mary, it’s an ideal spot to unwind after a game or gather with friends for casual socializing.

The bar space itself is clean and well-maintained, featuring ample seating that accommodates groups of various sizes. Patrons appreciate the friendly and attentive staff, creating a comfortable environment where good conversation and lively moments flourish. Its location makes it a favored stop for visitors passing through Pine City or those heading up north for outdoor adventures, such as snowmobiling.

While Cricket Bar’s food menu is quite limited—with pizza being the sole option—it serves well as a complement to the drink offerings. For those seeking a more extensive food selection, Time Out Sports Bar and Grill just next door provides additional dining choices. This simplicity in food allows the bar to focus on what it does best: delivering quality drinks and a genuine community vibe.

Though some patrons have noted changes in bartending staff, the overall experience remains positive. The bar’s rules and well-managed atmosphere ensure respectful conduct, balancing a lively sports bar energy with a friendly, approachable crowd. Cricket Bar’s identity is rooted in being a laid-back, reliable spot where comfort meets camaraderie, making it a staple in Pine City’s local nightlife and sports-viewing scene.

Very sad to find out Jordan has left. He was one of the best bartenders the current owners had!

Stopped in on our way up North for a snowmobiling weekend. Won the first round of the meat raffle! Only had drinks, healthy pours, staff was very nice. They cut off a local, who deserved it because he was being obnoxious. FYI only frozen pizza. Awesome food right next door at Time Out Sports Bar and Grill.

Great experience! James does not know what he is talking about. He was an upset customer that wanted pulltabs before drinks. Was very rude to the bar staff. And there is plenty of seating as he was sitting at the bar! and one of the cleanest places around!!

As a bar owner in the area, I can say that this is my favorite "get away" bar for my husband and I. Great friendly staff that bust their butts to sell off sale, make pizzas and tend to the entire bar, pull tabs are fun and the atmosphere is very welcoming. A great Patio with ample space and a fire ring along with a Tiki bar and horseshoe pits that are open seasonally! Great place to go and have a few cocktails

I really like this bar. The female bartender was very sociable, tacos would have been better deep fried, but worth the money, and the tabs were hot. Only issue is that the ATM cannot be trusted!!! Whomever owns it or ? is using my number for their own food and fun all over New Jersey. Not cool to start off my weekend with the bank canceling my cards due to fraud! Contacted the bar and they seem to be taking it seriously. It was definitelyy a step up from a true dive bar, but I felt comfortable and well taken care of while stopping on my way to the cabin. Nothing exciting, but if you like real people, then you won't be disappointed. I've ordered lots of items off the menu, usually whatever is on special, and never had a complaint. It's not a steakhouse, people, but you'll get your money's worth. You want $10 drinks from a 25 year old and a fully staffed kitchen? Then this is not your place, so move on and enjoy your $75 bill from the bored server on her phone who has run her hands through her hair 10 times before delivering your food without washing them. It was refreshing seeing my bartender wash her hands before touching my fresh cocktail glass.
